Abstract

Early childhood education is the main gateway in entering the next education. Conducting education as early as possible is an investment in further education as well as building a solid foundation of life. This period is a very important period, where at this time the human experience full development, so called as the golden age. Teaching theology can be done through songs. Chanting of children’s songs is a powerful weapon in building theological values towards the children. They can learn about the theological value contained in the song while they are singing happily. One of the Hindu children’s songs is Tri Murti. This Tri Murti song indirectly adds positive stimulus to the growth of the child. The lyrics of the song imply the concept of divinity in Hinduism with language that is easily understood by young children without having to peel deeper. Where the God of Hinduism has three main manifestations consisting of the Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva are referred to as the three main devātas. These three gods are described as having different tasks and mastering different elements and different scriptures. With this song, young Hindu youths have been installed early on in theology and need not worry about other people’s accusations that Hindus worship a lot of God; Hinduism is a religion of polytheism and so on. In this song is very clearly mentioned that there are three manifestations of God called Tri Murti with different names, different characters, and different tasks. However, in essence, it is one that is Brahman.

Abstract

The learning model that has been putting the burdens and shackles of children’s freedom in exploring and acquiring knowledge has now turned into how the learning process can be fun, valuable, and without unawareness. When did the educational situation arise? The situation of education takes place starting from the usual association. So, essentially social situations is a field (land) to prepare and install the education. It is because from a social situation that can be transformed into the educational or educational situation is not possible without the situation of association.

Abstract

Education is an important asset for the advancement of a nation, therefore, every citizen should and must follow the level of education, good early childhood education, primary education, secondary education or higher. In the field of education, a child from birth requires proper care in meeting the educational needs along with an understanding of the characteristics of early childhood education becomes very important and a major concern. Because of the importance of education, the parents will be held responsible how they educate their children. This will also apply for tutors, teachers or caregivers. Therefore, give the best education for our children in accordance with the development level of children, in order to be child respect for parents and teacher at the school There are four main considerations importance of early childhood education, namely: (1) prepare manpower quality (2) encourage the acceleration of the economic cycle and the low social costs (3) to improve equity in public life (4) to help parents and children.

Abstract

Childhood is a very important and valuable phase and is the period of formation in the period of human formation. Early childhood is often viewed as a golden age for education providers. The golden age of the child is a very fundamental phase for the development of the individual because in this phase there are great opportunities for the formation and development of a person. So great the role of parents in the formation of character and child development, it is natural if parents need to apply a balanced parenting (authoritative) in children, not authoritarian parenting or permissive.

Abstract

Hindus believe that life is overwhelmed and overcome by mantras. All beings are governed by a mantra, whether a farmer or a king. The mantra is composed using certain characters and arranged in such a way as to form a sound form, while the letters are the symbol of the sound. The mantra is described as a very subtle form or a subtle body of something, eternal and is an indestructible formula and is the origin of all non-eternal forms. Mantra can be sattvam, rajas, and tamas according to human character. Mantra can be given to young children to form the foundation of their lives. Teaching by using mantras in early childhood can be done by getting used to recite mantras when beginning and ending lessons, greetings when meeting with older people and others. The mantra taught is short and in the form of sattvam spells, which participate in building the children’s mental and character.

Abstract

The thing which very important in the world is education. It is a very important aspect given from childhood to adulthood. In short, education is required by various groups and continue to the long period of time. These days many people are given the information related to character education. Because of character education is important to be applied. Many things that can be used as an intermediary in delivering aspects of character education. One of them is a traditional Balinese song. Balinese traditional songs have been selected as a medium of communication in the delivery of character education because in traditional songs contained lyrics which are full of meaning and moral values. Traditional songs in Bali have existed since immemorial time and without the author’s name, so people who make the lyrics to this song can be our ancestors by inserting moral values and education that we can enjoy today. One of the famous traditional songs in Bali is CeningAyu. In the lyrics of CeningAyu, there are some moral values and education including the value of responsibility, child compliance, and obedience to the commands of parents.

Abstract

In Hinduism, education begins in the Mother’s womb. However, in relation to CaturAsrama (four stages of human life), education begins at the age of 0-25 years to be able to move to the next level. Vedic education can be done in early childhood as the general definition that children aged 0 years to 6 years. In principle, Vedic teaching can be done at any age, but with different methods. A number of popular methods have been practiced in Vedic teaching since ancient times such as Katha, Gatha, Narasamsi, Mantra, repetition, role- playing and various other methods that can be adapted to local conditions. However, the Vedas are loaded with the teachings of wisdom, truth, and courage must be taught from an early age and further strengthened as adolescence and adulthood. Vedic teaching involves a holistic teaching system that builds people from within and enhances intellectual, emotional as well as spiritual intelligence to build superior and divine human beings as the Vedic ideals.

Abstract

Education is an effort to realize the growth of the character of the child (inner strength, character, mind or intellect) and the child’s body to refer to the child’s life in harmony with his world. But in the present era that is full of things that degrade the side of humanism. Education should give birth to the children who have good character, just the contrary gave birth to people who behave badly. Psychological touch is rarely found in education today. It is rooted in the application of education in which there are models and processes without touching the side of humanism itself, so the application of education is only a mere formality. Consequently, children were born intelligently good but spiritually less. Many children are smart, but few have good character. This is where the importance of religious education as a role synergized.

Abstract

Character Building must be started in early age. Hence, the earlier children were acquainted with noble value, then their basic character would be stronger in the future. Furthermore, to build such a noble character towards the children itself, their environment should reflect good and positive things vice versa. One of the methods to build their character is through introducing song for children with positive values as well as moral messages.Moral values inserted in the lyrics of children’s songs are intended to educate the development of a child’s psychology.The dolanan song or commonly known as Gending rare in Balinese culture provide such positive benefit in order to build character. Whereas, Gending Rare comprise educational values such as honesty, Concord, history, culture, nationalism, and respect other people, including other several positive things. The example of Gending Rare which will be explained in this paper is gending rare entitled “mare bangun” and “merahputih”.

Abstract

Traditional games, especially traditional Balinese games have been abandoned, one reason is the rapid development of technology in various aspects of life, one of them is digital games. Traditional games actually have many benefits for children, indirectly children will be stimulated to be creative and very good for the physical and psychological training of children. It is part of the character education process, so the traditional games can be started early. In the traditional games, students are able to build social attitude, such as social ability to work together, compact, have democratic attitude and love attitude environment. social attitude is expected to facilitate or provide opportunities for positive development of children, then they will be able to achieve social development in a mature. On the contrary, if the social environment is less conducive, the social attitude of the children tend to display deviant behavior. For that, the development of a social attitude of children through traditional games is needed.
